Student Scholarships by America-Bangladesh Education Fund Inc

On Tuesday (January 24) in Noakhali, America-Bangladesh Education Fund Inc. awarded scholarships to students at 10 am in the auditorium of BRDB in Noakhali.
Md Alamgir Hossain, former principal of Noakhali's Abdullah Mier Hat College presided over the scholarship awarding ceremony under the chairmanship of Bangladesh representative of America-Bangladesh Education Fund Inc Md Iqbal Hossain.
Sultan Chowdhury, an American expatriate and a visionary of the scholarship fund, was present as the chief guest. American expatriate distinguished scholar Marjahan Haque, American expatriate distinguished scholar Rehana Chowdhury, distinguished scholar retired police officer Dildar Hossain Azad, Principal of Kankirhat Degree College of Senbag Upazila, Noakhali Kazi AKM Neshar Uddin, Assistant Registrar of Noakhali University of Science and Technology were present as special guests. Masudur Rahman, Md. Mizanur Rahman, Acting Principal of Abdullah Mier Hat College, Noakhali.
The chief guest said that in 2018, we provided the first scholarship by America-Bangladesh Education Fund Inc. The scholarship program has come to a standstill due to the outbreak of Corona around the world. Noakhali has 6 colleges (Senbagh Government College, Kankirhat Degree College, Bhulua College, Abdullah Mier Hat College, Haji Noor Mia College, Zainal Hazari College), 1 Madrasa (Markazul Uloom Al Islamia Madrasa), 1 Science and Technology University (Noakhali Science and Technology University), 2 medical colleges (Khulna Medical College, Dhaka Medical College) among the meritorious and poor students, the students and parents of America-Bangladesh Education Fund Inc. scholarships were present. A total of 30 students from the mentioned educational institutions were given 12000/= (twelve thousand) cash scholarships by the guests.
The chief guest also said that the activities of America-Bangladesh Education Fund Inc. will continue continuously and with the cooperation of all concerned, we can organize a scholarship program on a larger scale, please pray for us.
